This is the interior of the NSH library that was located on the hospital campus. In here staff and patients enjoyed many books and records donated by the community. It was noted in a study conducted on the grounds by the Board of Psychiatry in the mid 1940s that the hospital made every effort to accommodate those with specific disabilities by providing recordings of popular literature for the blind. Apparently this was not something that the other institutions provided, and the Board was very impressed by this fact.
