Sad Remnants

     These are the sad remains of what was once the superintendant’s mansion. Back in the day this is the spot where a stately home once sat. The home, built in the Spanish Revival style,  looked like one fit enough to be on a millionaire row. It was not at  all what you would expect to be at a mental institution.  When I was a child, it was my favorite building to go into. In the formal dining room there was a chandler that had to be brought in in pieces and then sauderd in place. Elegance was abound. Now all that is left of the grand home is the stone entrance markers. Hauntingly beautiful…
