Job Corps, Their First Haunted House

In 1979, Job Corps held its first haunted house at the institution mansion.
This home is where all the superintendents lived while the mental hospital was running. The residence was considered part of their wage.
Dad was approached by the head of Job Corps in the fall of that year to re-utilize the estate. Dad agreed, and they got to work.
The kids in Job Corps were Industrias scavenging treasures from when the hospital was still running. Their most interesting find was a coffin in the wood working shop. Back in the day, the patients themselves, constructed the caskets that their fellow patients were buried in.
When Job Corps rediscovered the lone coffin, it was covered over at the rear of the shop with much debris. They dusted it off and put it in the mansion and used it for the community Halloween celebration that year.
